Occupation: Writer at large, Shameless self-promoter
Base of Operation: Portsmouth, VA
Current/Upcoming Committed Comics Titles: I wrote two stories for Threads.
Weakness: Women
Who has influenced your work?: I am not sure if anyone influenced my work, I just write what the character needs. My job is helping them with their voice. But I dig guys like Grant Morrison, and Alan Moore, and Neil Gaiman, and Dwayne McDuffie. I tend to find myself drawn more to artists than writers for some reason, so if you asked me what artists I liked I'd be here all night.
Creator you would most like to meet (living or deceased): The only person I never met, I truly, truly regret is Jack Kirby. He died when I was 14 years old, I remember as a kid always Always dreamed of talking with him, and I was crushed when he passed.
What comic or series made you want to get into the biz?: It'd probably be The X-MEN. Of all the comics I had, the world I truly lived in was X-MEN. I always wanted to be a part of that tapestry. And I guess I kind of achieved that with am asterisks.. When I was 21, I sold a story to the X-MEN Office under Mark Powers, it was never printed but I still have a copy of my paycheck and voucher on my wall.
Who would play you in the movie of your life?: Meh, I'd let the Pixar guys deal with that.
Favorite Hero: Spider-man (the NORMAL one, not this One More Day thing) Gambit, etc
Favorite Villian: Magneto
Cake or Pie? I'm southern. We have both.
